On the Road to Emmaus

Description
Two disciples walk through a dry wilderness ravine, their robes small against the wide Judean terrain. The barren path, scrub brush, and eroded hills evoke the long road from Jerusalem to Emmaus on the day of the resurrection. In Luke 24, two followers of Jesus traveled in grief and confusion, speaking together about the crucifixion and the reports of the empty tomb. Their journey becomes a portrait of spiritual blindness giving way to revelation as the risen Christ draws near and opens the Scriptures to them. This artwork serves well for Easter teaching, resurrection sermons, Bible study resources, discipleship themes, and reflections on Christ meeting His followers on the road of doubt.
