Ruins
An ancient stone block rests among the archaeological ruins of Ephesus, its weathered surface bearing carved Greek lettering. Broken masonry, worn paving stones, and surviving wall fragments frame the inscription, preserving the texture of a city known in the New Testament as a major center of commerce, religion, and early Christian witness.
Ephesus is closely connected with the ministry of Paul, who taught there and confronted the city’s devotion to Artemis, as recorded in Acts. The site also stands behind the message to the church in Ephesus in Revelation, where Christ calls His people to faithful love and endurance. This image is suited for teaching on biblical archaeology, the missionary journeys, the early church, and the historical world of the New Testament.
